Does anyone out there use BJU DVD program and also use something like Clonlara for accreditation. As a single mom, I can *hope* we can homeschool forever but I have to be prepared. I don't want her having to repeat a grade b/c she doesn't have an accredited transcript. I've already called and asked about it as well from the public school and they were very clear that they'd give me trouble putting her back in past 9th grade if she wasn't in an accredited school. I really like the looks of BJU but wondering if it's worth me forking out the cost. I just know my daughter isn't that fond of Abeka.

We use the BJU DVD program and NARHS for accreditation. So far, I am happy with both of them. My daughter is using the DVD program for Writing & Grammar/Literature, Geography, and Spanish. I like Mrs. Vick and Mrs. Moon, and my daughter likes Senor Cancino. The Spanish class is a pre-recorded HomeSat class that I find annoying in spots (wastes too much teaching time), so I fast-forward through the chit-chat and dead air waiting for a Link student to answer a question.

North Atlantic Regional High School requires a lot of paperwork, but I document everything so it's not a stretch for me.

I do use BJU materials, but not for every subject. One year, we did whole grade (12th grade). It was overwhelming for us, we found that we could not watch more than two subjects on dvd. By the end of the day, only dvds were watched, and no work was done... So, we changed a few subjects, did BJU for a few w/o dvds, and used the dvds for the few subjects we needed the teacher.

If you were to do BJU's program where you report to them, you would probably have to do everything and not be able to pick and choose like you would be able to do if you were on your own.

Google online colleges that offer online high school classes as part of your research. If you started a thread about this, I'm sure you would get a lot of responses on which ones are good.
