View Full Version : So what do YOU do with roasted garlic?

I just roasted my first head of garlic. I put it on some fresh sourdough bread along with melted butter, parmesean (sp?) cheese, and a little salt.

I'm curious about other uses.

I mix it in with melted butter or mayonnaise and dip steamed artichoke leaves in it. Yum!

Or, I cream it into some butter, roll it in wax paper and have a "stick" of garlic butter in the fridge.

Or, mix in with mayo for a tasty sandwich spread!

More later, if I think of them...

My husband mixes it in mashed potatoes. Its very yummy!

Yeah...that all sounds really nice and all, but I just eat it! :thumbup:

Okay, not all at once, but it makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Must be time to start dinner!

I LOVE it on buttered bread, spaghetti, with chili, etc. Yum!

Also, with chick peas and sesame paste and lemon in the food processor-- home made version of humus!

eggs, fish, poultry, pasta, bread, veggies...
Garlic is a staple in our home! We keep at least 2 cloves at all times!

I can eat it with a spoon! We put garlic on almost anything! Well, not sweets.

Roast some potatoes and spread it on them. Oh, now I'm drooling...

heavy sigh....my dh really hates garlic breath so I try not to partake in that straight garlic too much.

This sounds SO good to me right now!! What we do with it is cook it with lamb for Easter dinner and spread across it. It is just WONDERFUL. :)

We love to spread it on some french bread along with some brie. :) Delicious!

Spread the paste on top of the pizza crust before putting on sauce and toppings and baking.
Knead into Italian bread dough. Or into focaccia dough.
