Did everyone realize that if Publix charges you ....

incorrectly for a product (usually those on sale)....then you get the product FREE?

One day last week....I bought a 12 roll pack of Bounty...it was supposed to be 12.99....and it rang up for 13.99.....I got the whole pack FREE.

Today....I bought some oranges....supposed to be .99 a pound....rang up for 1.29 a pound....I got all of them FREE!

I told my daughter we will really start checking from now on, LOL!

Isn't that awesome. We have had that happen numerous times at our Publix. My husband has really been paying attention now that he has been doing the shopping.

I used to routinely check and get LOTS of things for free. I couldn't believe how often their old system had things wrong. But since they've gotten a new system - I don't really check so much anymore.

Anyone still finding mistakes with their new checkout machines (with the computer screen right in front of you?)

Shaw's in New England does the same. I once got a $40 ham for free. I didn't even realize it rang up wrong. When the cashier told me it was free, I thought she was nuts!
