Best use of Abeka Consumer Math?

For those of you who have used Abeka Consumer Math, did your dc just work through the textbook or did you have them do the accompanying Skills and Review Exercises as well. If the latter, did you have them do all the problems or did you pick and choose.

DS did Abeka Consumer Math last year (10th grade, age 16yo). He did it about 4 days a week, all independently. Heused just the textbook, read the instructive portion and then did just the odd numbered problems, which took him about 40-50 minutes all together. I did not have him do the tests. He completed the program in less than a 36-week school year, and had no problems doing it solo. Hope that helps! Warmly, Lori D.
