Anyone have some insight for me?
DD, 11, is really not all that interested in science, and I thought that Rainbow's ironic and joking tone would really appeal to her. She has used the "How...Works" books, and Eyewitness books, and is finding them too easy. She has attended quite a few science field trips and even a couple of marine science camps over the years. And we have used RS4K chemistry and physics very successfully.
Now that she's a little older, I'm looking at the samples on the Rainbow website, and suddenly they really seem unfocussed to me. The questions at the back of each section seem awfully trivial as well. I'm not sure whether this program is really the right one for DD. I would like something that emphasizes the key points a little more, and that has some calculations in it.
Is Exploration Education better organized and more clearly focussed?
Or is there something else that I should consider?
