I am curious for those of you who used Horizons Math...what curriculum have gone onto after Horizons 6? He will be going into the 7th grade next fall. hates math by the way and didn't like Singapore but does well with his Horizons...any suggestions?

*bump*

My ds is only about to start H3, but I'd be interested to know this as well. I like to have an idea where we're headed.

I have replied to a similar question several times. :)

My kids use MUS alg/geo as pre-alg and pre-geo. (we don't use the blocks. they simply watch the videos and work through the workbook and student text and complete them in one yr.)

Please note that I do NOT like MUS as a math program. ;) I have used these books b/c at the end of Horizons my kids are too ahead of typical pre-alg programs and not quite mature enough to handle the presentation of a high school textbook.

After finishing that text, we move into Foerster alg 1 adn 2. I have used Jacobs and Chalkdust geo after that. Next yr, however, my dd will be using Solomonvich's geo.

Most of the people I know who have gone all the way through have used Saxon pre-Algebra after Horizons 6. We're just finishing Horizons 6 this year and I'll be interested to see the other POVs.
