anyone here from alaska? do you use a state-funded program for homeschooling? which one? what do like/dislike about it? how does it work?

I realize this response is a few months late, but I didn't notice this until now. I'm in AK. Did you ask this question on the general forum as well? I remember answering this question there some time ago. If you still need to know anything about the state-funded programs I can tell you about the 2 that I've used. There is one that covers neutral material from faith-based companies (ex. math from Abeka). Anyways, "hi" from a fellow AK homeschooler!

Hi,

I recently joined. Looks like there are a few of us from Alaska trickling in from time to time. My family and I live in the bush and are "independent" homeschoolers, meaning that we aren't using any of the government funded school programs. There are pros and cons to both.

Glad to see some Alaskans here.
