Is there a way to delete posts?

Krista,
If you can't delete a post, you can certainly edit the contents. Whether you choose to delete the contents inside or just change it is up to you.
I do think the ability to change a subject line is beyond the general poster, though.

On 'most' forums like these, you cannot delete your post until you have a certain amount of posts under your belt.

I am not sure if it will be like that here, but I imagine it would be.
