Just when I think I've got it all figured out... :willy_nilly:

For those of you who use SOTW, I'm curious if there is a list of readers that might coincide with the chapters? I'm struggling with my History spine for next year (2nd grade - first year hsing). I've heard such rave reviews of this particular book that I thought I'd look into it, but I'd like for dd to be able to read some fun books that correlate to what we're studying.
Thanks :)

I'm not sure if this is what you mean but there are book suggestions in the AG (Activity Guide).

Are the suggestions for reference books or historical fiction books for the children to read?
Thanks for the info!

At the end of each chapter in the Activity Book there are many suggestions both historical non-fiction or geography related and non-fiction. There are also grade levels listed beside each and a short synopsis so that you can best select what fits your child.

For us...we only read the main chapter...and then do all the reviews in the activity book together. We do the activity if we have time...but I dont use the extra books. I usually go to the library each week and find a book on whatever we are studying. I usually find one very easy. I plan on using the books next year for my oldest son.

We enjoyed many of the historical fiction books and even some of the non-fiction books. Personally, I think this is what makes SOTW so rich...:001_smile:
