I envy you! My mother had a beautiful rose garden when I was growing up, but I'm afraid I didn't inherit her way with flowers (or a house with a garden). Enjoy your roses!

I planted my 49th rosebush recently, and figure I'll have to get one more to make it an even 50! I'd love to have some of the D. Austin's, they are so pretty.

I love roses! :auto::auto: Here I am, driving to the nursery to buy my last rosebush!
Michelle T, who is enjoying these new smilies too much :001_smile::001_smile:

I don't know if they'll do well here, either. Roses in general don't do nearly as well here in Central Texas as they did in California, much to my disappointment. But I'll keep planting them, because a Southern garden can never have too many roses or hydrangeas. I have some of those, too:D

But I love roses, too, and am sad I had to leave my thriving ones in Tennessee. I hope to plant some new ones soon!

He met a former president of the American Rose Society and totally got sucked in. He has even taken rose hips and gotten some to start from seed as well as doing a lot from cuttings. If you are ever in NW Louisiana, you should visit the American Rose Society gardens.
