[Background: My ds10 is in ps 5th grade. I will be hsing in the fall and possibly through middle school because of his genetic growth disorder we want to give him the extra year we should've held him back in kindergarten, although acadmically he rocks he could use the seasoning socially/maturity-wise.]

We will start hsing this summer, lightly. I want to start working through R&S Math 6 and, upon finishing that (around Christmas, I suppose) I am considering making math, latin, and writing the strong focal points of our hsing. To that end, I am toying with the idea of working through Saxon and Singapore simultaneously. If my understanding is correct, Saxon is good at reinforcing the basics, something he definitely needs, and Singapore is more focused on developing mathematical thinking skills, which should help when working outside the struture of Saxon.

Is it just too much, or could it be doable?
