for the last week, dd's biology teacher has been out and his daughter has been teaching the class. Dd said one day, the sub showed a movie, the students were to find 15 facts from the movie and list them. The students were so noisy, the sub kept constantly telling them to be quiet, but they wouldn't, dd was only able to get 10 facts. Yesterday, the sub. gave them a study guide to do in class but the kids were so noisy again, that dd was holding her hands over her ears trying to do her work. Today, the regular teacher comes back and I told dd to be prepared for the whole class to get blasted, especially since it was the teacher's own daughter that was subbing. This wasn't really the part that I meant by "on a lighter note" the next part is.
In history, they also had a sub. Dd described him as "a big, mean looking, black, football player looking guy". (Dd is a minority race, so don't read anything racist into her comment). Anyway, dd said that not even one kid made a peep the entire class period, the usual goof offs did not goof off. I bet the school tries to hire this sub as often as they can.
