View Full Version : Requesting Prayers - Tomorrow is THE DAY!

It looks like I'll be induced tomorrow morning. I'd appreciate some prayers. I'm a don't-induce, drug-free labor kind of person, so I'm nervous in making this decision. The good news is that my doctor is absolutely supporting me 100% and is on-board with my birthing preferences.
Could I request prayers for a successful induction that doesn't turn into one of those 18-hour-hard-labor-then-a-c-section horror story and that the baby will be 100% healthy and ready to come out. Thank you!

Praying here!
FWIW I've had three very successful inductions - all less than three hours start to finish.

I had two wonderful experiences with inductions. Just wanted to give you some encouraging stories.

Since the induction was scheduled, when they figured out there was a complication...I was able to go directly into surgery. It was an emergency, but it was all very well planned, almost stress free and controlled.
Without going into extensive details, had I not been induced, I would have still ended up needing a c-section and it would have been in a much more urgent-emergency situation.
The planned induction was a blessing in disguise.

Prayers here! Maybe you'll go into labor tonight? If not, I hope the induction goes well. Can't wait to "meet" your new little person.

Praying that all will go well.
But if for some reason you get an epidural or something, forgive yourself. Induced labour can be different. Hoping for a healthy mom and baby!

I can hardly believe it's time! WOW! You and that sweetpea will be in my thoughts and prayers. Be sure to send someone to update us when you can. We'll be thinking of you. (And kiss that baby for me!)

Thank you all for your prayers! They worked! My little guy was born weighing in at 9 lbs, 2 oz - a healthy little man! The induction was very gentle and quick - after breaking my water at 4 cm, he was here in less than 3 hours.

I've done it myself, and it can be done. You will do fine! Prayers for you, and blessings to your new little bundle tomorrow - how very exciting!
FWIW, my first was induced 9lb9oz, HUGE head, med-free, hospital, Bradley-educated birth. From the pitocin to delivery was about 7 hours. My #2 and #3 were born more spontaneously. But my #4 was induced with pit (I was late, and get GD, so big baby, post-due-date and BS complications = induction). From start to finish that was 4hours 25min! He was an 8lb 13oz, med-free, hospital, Hypnobabies-practiced birth. And honestly, with both, it took a good 2-3 hours of ramping up the pitocin before I felt like was actually "in labor". So if you want to look at it that way, it was only really 4 hrs for the first and maybe 2 hours for #4!
Good luck!
