I am baking his chocolate chip cookies - the fluffy kind. We will do the chewy kind next.

His chocolate sauce was heaven

His mustard was fantastic

The pretzels were wonderful

Sesame wasabe tuna was super!

I am doing his cabage tonight and dh is trying the "greens" this weekend.

So many recipes, so little time

We love his show and are huge fans, but we don't have a cookbook of his. Can you recommend one?

You know, the man lives like right around the block... but it costs like $300 to see him live at our local WF. So close, yet so far. :willy_nilly:

We make his fried chicken!! Our first ever REALLY YUMMY fried chicken! Basically, we saw that show a few years ago, and went out to make it the next day... complete with iron skillet and buttermilk.

oh. my. goodness.

I would love cookbook info too. My dh is a the chef here and we love Alton!

When my kids ask to watch "their" shows...Good Eats is one of them. :thumbup1: I think his show and America's Test Kitchen inspired their desire to learn how to cook.

Omgosh, I LOVE him. LOVE LOVE LOVE him. I'd pay the $300 to see him. We wouldn't have electricity, cable or phone for a month, but it would be worth it. LOL

13yods and I love Alton Brown. His is the only cooking show dh will watch. Well, he might watch the one with that cute, skinny Italian gal, but I'm not telling him about that one;)

Love his shows, have three of his books and our recipe binder has an AB picture on it. If searching for a recipe, AB gets the first look.

As for his cookbooks, the three we have are:

I'm Just Here for the Food is for Cooking - has more to do with meats and such

I'm Just Here for MORE Food is for Baking - ie expanding the waist line.

Gear for the Kitchen is his recommendations on tools - ie *shrinking* the pocket book.

We love Alton Brown ( Good Eats ) its a favorite here.... RyLeeKays favorite have been his Marshmallow episodes ( she made homemade and it was pretty easy) and the 'pop' culture one on popcorn. I think that episode is on the 18th or the 19th of this month... great history and science show for sure! Check your food network listing, but it should be on around the dates I mentioned....

My step dad made his turducken. Turkey, duck and chicken... it was amazing!

He makes... good eats ... snort

pun intended...

In fact, I quadrupled his recipe. We normally double it but I needed to use the buttermilk. They will be gone by lunch tomorrow. I just LOVE Alton Brown.

We have I Am Just Here For The Food and I am just Here for More Food. My favorite is definately the "more" food one. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....Good eats!

We made it a few years ago for Thanksgiving. It was the best turkey we have ever eaten!

My ds loves to watch his shows, he loves learning the "stuff" about food (as he says). His other favorites are 30 min meals and Dinner Impossible.

Blessings,
