Anyone from the Whittier / La Habra area (suburb of LA) with gifted kids? What schools or other option worked for your child? We are currently in Elementary PS in Whittier, CA -- and while not quite ready to jump 100% into homeschooling -- we are in need of finding a better educational program for our DS who is one to two years ahead in math and also in the language arts. We already supplement at home with math enrichment and we may consider JH CTY in the future, but it is expensive. We do not want to skip grades (developmental reasons), but don't want him bored in school either, and our current school is very unsupportive! While I realize everyone here probably homeschools, if anyone knows of any good GATE school programs (self-contained, all day GATE programs preferable) near our area of Whittier / La Habra, CA, we would appreciate it !
