dd got a 95 on first honors geometry test. She is in a class of all 10th graders except for one other freshman girl. The only 2 problems that dd missed on the test were on material that she missed when her and the other freshman had to miss class to go to a required freshman assembly. It was the exact same 2 problems that the other freshman missed. Dd said that she got the notes from another student the next day but that she found them somewhat confusing. Anyway, I am still very proud of her doing so well on her first geometry test especially since I can not really help her much as geometry was my very worst math subject in school.
geometry is her only honors class, she was hesitant to take any other honors since this is her first year in school. Math was the only subject that she felt really confident in going for honors. In her college prep classes she has so far, all 100's or high 90's. She thinks that may go down in Biology as she forgot to bring home her book the night before her chapter test (55 questions) so she thinks she might have bombed it. Lesson learned "Bring home the book to study".
