Why? Why do 2yos have language explosions on the same days as my sinus headaches?

It has been a week. The 2.5 yo has been talking non-stop... NON-STOP, I tell you!!! Not that I am complaining. I am very thankful that he has SOOOO much to say. I am hoping he will learn some new sentences soon because right now, he is using ad nauseum technique... and let me just say that I can certainly understand why it is not allowed in debate... WAY TOO EFFECTIVE!!!

A typical conversation:
Him: mom-mom
me: yes?
him: me canny day?
me: no, you already had your candy today.
him: why, mom?
me: you just did, you had it at lunch.
...pause...
Him: mom-mom
me: yes?
him: me canny day?
me: no, you already ate it.
him: why, mom?
me: you just did, you had it at lunch after spaghetti.
...pause...
Him: mom-mom
me: yes?
him: me canny day?
me: no, you already had your candy today.
him: why, mom?
me: you just DID! you had it at lunch, just a few minutes ago!!
...pause...
Him: mom-mom
me: yes?
him: me canny day?
me: FINE! Get your candy!:banghead:

Mine follows me around asking:

Ds2: Mom? I wan abowl? Abowl? Abowl? (sounds like apple, but he really wants a bowl so he can steal cereal).
Me: No. No cereal.
Ds2: Pease, mom? I wan abowl? Abowl, mom, pease?
Me: No. No cereal.

He finally gets tired of this after about 10 times and wanders off. Then I find he's gotten into the pantry and is eating cereal out of the box (he pushes a kitchen chair over so he can reach the lock that we put on to keep him out!).

And I'm sorry about your headache!

Mine spends the entire morning

R:juice,mom
M:No juice, you just had some.
R: Bapple, mom
M:No apples, you don't eat them.
R: Gum,mom
M: no gum for babies
R: No baby, no gum mom (no gum for mom)
etc. through the entire pantry til I finally give in and give him something and this starts as soon as breakfast is over and is a ploy to get attention when I'm trying to start school.

Where me amplules? (apples)

This would be cute, except he screams his questions in sort of a dull roar so we will hear him over his brothers. Consequently, he sounds like a wee little Napoleon. I sure hope he outgrows it!:001_huh:
