Complete novice here, but do people just go around and post random posts to bump up their numbers to 50? I can't imagine spending that much time with no other purpose. And yet there must be some well thought out logic here, huh?

No. The logic behind that rule is A) the sale boards are more for community members than for people who just pop in the sell something, and B) people might want to know a little bit about you before they buy from you.
Stick around and talk to us a little while. You'll get up to 50 in no time.

At the rate I'm going, it's going to take me a year to get to 50 posts. (But then again I don't have anything to sell, so it doesn't really matter.) I do spend a fair bit of time lurking, I just don't have much to add to most discussions at this point.

Me either. But somehow I have almost a thousand posts. :) And that's only on THIS board. (I posted more frequently on our older board.)

I really appreciate your time! That opens my perspective as I do have things to sell and I did want to "Pop in" but today someone gave me a quick meal idea. Hmmm... maybe something to this. ;)

As you get to know us more, I'm sure you'll find more to contribute to the conversations. I think most of my first 50 posts were asking questions about curriculum.

It took me about that long.:)

I'm still too new to know anything about the selling things, but I love the "worker bee" "larve" thing! I'd like to have a few more posts so that I'm not just a "visitor!"
