I saw in another post that you are using Gombrich and Van Loon. I don't know much about these, but I wondered why you were using both? Do they cover different things? We will be in the Middle Ages next year if that makes a difference.

Using two just because they are each short, and it's interesting to get different points of view. Calvin is a fast reader and it just seems like a fun idea.
