could sure use some prayers today. Someone has been sick in our home for the past six weeks, school has been on and off, disorder reigns, and a battle of the mind about finances and the future rages within. Please pray that I can let these issues go and let God have His way. I know I just need to trust Him, but just finding it hard to get there, kwim?

Thanks for praying!

May He give you a heart of peace as you rest in the security of knowing He is good.

Just prayed for you and your family, Molly. This is a tough time of year and to have illness on top of other burdens,ugh... but just go moment by moment and God will give you the grace and strength to deal with that moment but His economy is different than ours, He gives what we need when we need it and not before most times. Think of the Israelites and the manna. Try not to look ahead in worry or in anticipation of things that may happen.

Last winter, prior to my son's adenoidectomy, he was sick for nearly four months straight. The two years prior to that were an unending stream of illness in our home--my poor son was sick almost constantly, and my dd and I were sick quite a bit as well. It was hard and depressing!

I hope things get better for you soon. In the meantime, some things that helped me during that time were to fill the house with soothing music, read, and eat comfort food (anything from chicken soup to brownies:))

Praying for you, Molly. I hope that your family gets over this illness and that the rest of the things start to fall into place (or at least you see some light at the end of the tunnel). :crying:

store this afternoon to get some Gatorade for my son. It was nice to just get out and get some fresh air. He threw up this morning, but thankfully he hasn't done that anymore. I don't handle throw ups well. My dh came home this afternoon with a hoarse voice, so I'm dosing him up with some herbs, vitamins, hot tea. I think I'll go put on a face mask so I don't get sick. I'm afraid I will not make a good patient if *I* get sick after all these weeks of taking care of my family, ikwim? I don't think I can stand anymore homemade chicken noodle or rice soup, but brownies, now I can handle them anytime, LOL! Please pray that my dh doesn't get any more sick and that I stay well. I appreciate your prayers very much!

Love,

Molly

You sound a lot more hopeful. I'm glad you got out - being sick can really lead to cabin fever! Still praying that the sickness leaves your house! :grouphug:
