how do you cope? This has been the week from well...you know. :glare: Just curious as to how everyone copes with everyday little stressors. :001_huh:

I talk things through with my husband. He always makes things seem better. If I am really stuck I retreat into a good book and pretend whatever it is isn't happening.

the good stuff. :D Actually, I don't copy well w/ stress. I tend to just "shut down" depending on how big the stressor is. If dh is home, I will often just go out...alone...and shop and spend money we don't have which leads to more stress. :eek: If it gets really bad, I'll call a good friend and have her pray for me. For some reason, her prayers must have a "direct line" with God b/c it always, always makes me feel a little better. I'm sorry I'm not more help. Could you try: taking a hot bath, getting lost in a good book, taking a nap (that help me sometimes), prayer (if you are so inclined), chocolate is a nice temp fix :). I often talk myself through the day. Sometimes it is out loud! I will tell myself stuff like "just one more thing" and "you can do it". I will also reprioritize if I can - to get my schedule down to just the minimum that I need to do to get through this time.

I go out for 1/2 hour walk...alone. If I can't go for a walk, I eat chocolate.

Talk to dh. Get take in for dinner. Make a plan to tackle the jobs before me. This is easier said than done. Sometimes I can get in panick mode for a few hours before I can make my plan. :)

Thanks guys! What a week for me...here's what I did....
1. ate chocolate
2. called my parents...it was so great to hear their voices
3. called hubby...bring home wine to go with dinner and of course chocolate
4. exercised 40 minutes on treadmill with loud music
5. screamed into my pillow..

Life is better now! :D
