Core Alt 6 is very similar to Core 6 (http://www.sonlight.com/6C5.html?cat=1005) and Core 7 (http://www.sonlight.com/7C5.html?cat=1005), except that it relies on Hillyer's A Child's History of the World (http://www.sonlight.com/2H22.html) instead of Wise Bauer's Story of the World (http://www.sonlight.com/6H40.html). Furthermore, the Core Alt 6 program is a one-year study — it has no continuation.
Estimated time requirement on either the four- or five-day-per-week/36-week schedule for a single student studying all subjects, including the Core Program, Science, Math and Language Arts: Child: 4 - 6 hrs/day; Parent: 2 - 3.5 hrs/day direct involvement, availability for remainder of time.
