Confused about how to use Runkle Geography

I just got this and it looks really good but I am confused about how to use it. I have the teacher's manual, text, and student activity workbook. The text is straight forward but how do I use the student activity book? Is that to be used completely independently of the text? How do I schedule it?

If you've used Runkle, anything you have to offer would be greatly appreciated.

This sentence is on page 3 of the Student Activity Workbook: "Although this workbook does not follow the text page by page..."

I found it difficult to coordinate the Student Activity Workbook with the World Physical Geography book. When I saw a map in the textbook, I found the corresponding map in the student activity book to do. For example, Lesson 25 has a map of North America on Page 150. When we hit is lesson, I added some extra time to do Map #14 on page 74 in the student workbook. I don't think we covered every map in the student workbook with this method, but it was the best way I found to handle the lack of coordination between the two books.
