I found a set in Veritas Press's catalog, but they are $250. What is the difference between those and the ones that they do in those Classical Conversation classes?

Hate to be the bearer of bad news: but nothing! They're one and the same. For $250 though, you must be looking at the whole history package. The cards alone are $20 per set and there are 5 sets total. HTH!

The history cards that everyone talks about are from Veritas Press, and I'm pretty sure that the same cards are used in Classical Conversations. A set of Veritas cards costs $20. There a 5 different sets that cover history from the Ancients to the Modern period. www.veritaspress.com

Did you get yours from the catalog or somewhere else?

I got them from the catalog, but they are the same price everywhere that sells them. I'm not sure where you are getting the $245 figure from. The history cards by themselves are $20.

The cards plus the enhancement CD (lessons and songs) are $250 for the homeschool kit. If you just want all of the cards and songs Cd (minus the lessons then they are cheaper) http://www.veritaspress.com/prodinfo.asp?number=000001
or you can just get the cards. http://www.veritaspress.com/prodinfo.asp?number=000200 (is one set you would have to get each set) If you go to any grade level history card information page then choose more information then you will find lots of different options.
