Checked her profile and there aren't any updates there. Just was thinking that I hadn't seen any posts from her in a loooong time. Anyone know?

I know Erica wanted to cut down on the time she spent here; she probably decided the Big Switch was a good time to enact that. I'm going to email her, though, and say hello.
I still miss Dana in NC; she never did join up here.

Last time I talked with her, she related that the format switch made it easier to cut down the time she spent here, and so...she did!
If it's a problem for someone, then, of course I want to see them do what's best, but...I miss her. :-(

Tell her I said hello, and to come by and say HI!

Oh, best schmest. Let's get the woman addicted again, shall we? Ya know when you go to dinner with friends and none of them want to share a bottle of wine ~ or worse, don't go for dessert. And you're like, "Come on! At least get one piece of amaretto cheesecake between the three of you so I won't feel so bad!" I love being a positive influence like that.:001_tt2:

Yeah...what is it with this 'responsible Internet usage' talk?!
;-)
We'll just drink Erica's virtual wine, and eat her cyber dessert. That'll teach her. More for us!

You mean like when people talk about running? I just encourage them to stay home and rest their knees....and have a Mike's!

I miss both of them too.
And of course it's most fun when the people we like share our addictive behaviors, er um, I mean, when they share our recreational preferences. Yeah, yeah, that's it.
The people who go to a place like Bonefish Grill and don't want to order the Bang Bang Shrimp (http://www.bonefishgrill.com/menu/starters/) make me want to :banghead:. Come on, what's a little fried shrimp among friends? :grouphug:

Hmmm... I'm pretty sure that Danestress is Dana. If not, she's an awful lot like her.
I've been missing Erica as well. She's got a lot more self-discipline than I could ever muster. :p

Well, apparently the dog that belongs to Danestress is not a great dane!
He's actually almost lazy for a 7 month old puppy of his breed (Belgian Sheepdog).
Maybe her dog does this :drool5: or this :seeya: or even this :nopity:, but apparently he is NOT :Angel_anim:.

Oh, I thought Danestress was Dana in NC...
Omigosh, maybe you're right! The thought never crossed my mind. I did ask about Dana before and no one (including Danestress) piped up about that connection. But maybe you're right...I think Danestress only has boys; she's mentioned a big age gap between her oldest and her 5th graders....Could it be?!

I actually thought I said so, but maybe not. I feel so loved anyone would have missed me.
Anj PM'd me and asked if I'm Dana in NC, so I searched Dana, and this thread totally made my day.

I can't believe that some of my very favorite people have been asking about me!!! I am touched, really. Jill was right... though I am a registered user here, I've decided not to become a regular poster. I miss you all, though!
I do stop in and read what's going on from time to time, and I plan to post on the curriculum board when I have a burning question, because there is no better place that I know of, to get input on homeschooling. But that's about as involved as I can get on the boards, for now.
You've all made a huge impact on me as a person, and I will always remember the WTM board as a very influential, valuable resource to me during the years when my children were young, and I truly needed someone over 12 to chat with.
I love you guys! Email me anytime!
Love,
Erica

There you are!! You have been here all along? I saw your signature in your post in Colleen's thread and said "Wait a minute. Dana? In NC? Is that OUR Dana?"
And so I went to your profile and started looking at all your posts, looking for a clue and there you are.

Maybe not is right, little missy! And here I was asking after you a couple of times, lamenting the fact that you'd not joined up here...while the whole time you're right under my nose? Pardon moi while I wipe the egg off my face!:bigear:

I seem to recall saying something very similar in the not-too-distant past...:D
Take care, Erica.
