seven guineas...
For sale or lease: Six year old boy with cabin fever (due to entirely muddy yard) and bottomless pit for stomach. Needs large indoor playground and 5 meals a day. Prefers an arid climate with little rain to maximize outdoor time and full-time cook/back scratcher. Would love to sleep with large woolly dog on the floor, no bed is necessary.

I would like to rent the child AND the muddy backyard :-) We HAVE no back yard here- we have a slab of concrete with some woodchips on the sides- the Housing folks called it a "private yard"

Hee Hee. Too bad we aren't neighbors. My 8 yo boy would get right along with yours.

We're having a drought. Very little mud and almost no rain days! 7 guineas.... hmm.... would you take KinzCash?:willy_nilly:

How does Webkinz translate to guineas? Do you have a conversion? :drool5:

You will be amazed at how such a desperate measure can cure that cabin fever.
Let him mess about in the mud to his heart's content. At my house I make my boy strip just inside the basement door (which opens to the back yard). The muddy clothes go directly to the washing machine, and the muddy boy flees, literally NEKKID :blush5:, to the shower.
When he comes from the shower he gets dressed and has a cup of tea and is generally ready to settle down.

Do you have a garden hose and a large, warm blanket?

He can come here and go sledding down our mountain with my kids! And we too can provide the large wooly dog! he'd get along great with my ds(almost 6). He keeps trying to sleep on the floor! Mud season should be here in about 3 weeks, but until then we still have 2+ feet of snow!:hurray: In about 3 weeks or so we will have 15 acres of mud and I WILL be sending the kids out to play! we also have a bathtub!

I have two models available-- 6.0 and 4.5, although 4.5 would still like a bed with the woolly dog.

Will trade (short term only) one grumpy, hormonal 12-year-old dd, complete with bad attitude, rolling eyes, upturned eyebrow and a patented "how DUMB are you?" stare. Very accomplished grout scrubber due to aforementioned traits. Door slamming feature occurs intermittently. Runs like the wind or slows to a crawl when angry. "Button pushing" a specialty. Requires mass quantities of rice and hot sauce. :banghead:

You all crack me up. Sorry Lisa I would def take the cabin fever over the hormonal DD.

Hey, I'd trade for a hormonal 14yo! Let's see--we don't have a muddy yard--we still have two feet of snow, but there's lots of manure on top to roll in. How are his lambing skills???? Our two dogs are a little grumpy, but he could curl up with some sheep...

Lisa in JAX,
That was too funny! I think I will go hug my 9 year old dd while I still can.
Hang in there.
