I am still considering making the switch to Horizons from Saxon. One of the reasons I chose Saxon was that we could continue on through HS with the same curriculum. I have been wondering -- what do people choose after Horizons, and is there a smooth transition?

I moved mine from Horizons 5 to Saxon 6/7 with no problems. I didn't like the Horizons 6 approach to something, but can't remember now what it was.

I go to Teaching Textbooks but that is probably not the answer you wanted!
So, I won't be winning any Classical Homeschooler of the Year Award for my math!!!:001_tongue:

I have used MUS alg/geo as a pre-alg/pre-geo program followed by Foerster algs. I have used different geo programs....Jacobs and Larson (chalkdust). Next yr I am going with a 3rd geo program, Solomonovich b/c I am going to enroll in an online class.
By the end of H6, they are sort of ahead of typical pre-alg programs and not quite ready for a full fledged alg program. MUS's alg is rather simplified and more "math" than abstract alg application. So it has worked OK as a filler yr.
I am sure that there are better alternatives out there, but that is what I have done with my 4 that have finished Horizons.

Ok, before I give my answer, let me state that I am under the weather with the flu. That is why my brain went this way and I think it is really funny. But I am really wonky right now so just humor me, ok>
After Horizons, we go Off into the Wild Blue Yonder!
