Been chewing on this for a while:banghead:, why does "bump" mean that somebody is interested in the same topic?
And "spoiler", it's some king of a spin-off, isn't it? Is it negative, like "I'm spoiling the thread?"

"Bump" as in "bump this back to the top of the list of threads" (because threads are sorted by most recent reply, so adding a reply will put it at the top again, where hopefully more people will see it and respond).

"Spoiler" indicates that something said in the post may spoil the (surprise) ending of a movie, TV show or book... so for instance when the 7th Harry Potter book came out and some people read it in, you know, the first eight hours or so (LOL) if they wanted to discuss the book they would post a thread "with spoilers" so anyone who hadn't finished would have fair warning not to read the thread if they wanted to read the book for themselves without knowing ahead of time how it ended/ who dies/ etc. Etiquette states that not only do you post a spoiler warning before revealing something like that, but that you also include lots of visual space (like a series of nearly-blank lines) so someone has to actually scroll down to see the spoiler part and no one will accidentally have the spoiler revealed if they don't want to see it.

Clear as mud? ;)
