Experiments/Activities for Apologia Astronomy

I'm using Apologia Astronomy with my 3rd and 5th grader. This is the 4th of Fulbright's books we've used and I've always loved the experiments. So far, however, I'm not crazy about the experiments/hands-on activities in this book. Can you post links or ideas to any wonderful or demonstrative astronomy activities you've done? We've done the peppercorn planet walk with my kids (love that one! Even the second time five years later!).
