I am a mom with a science phobia! I have been outsourcing this for years, but due to an ever increasingly complicated schedule, I really need to bring it back in house.
So what would you suggest to a mom that needs to teach science to kids ranging from 2nd grade to 8th grade? Is this even possible? Oh, and a couple of them are dyslexic, so the more hands on the better!
Thanks!!

There have been many threads recently on this topic. You might want to search the forum for them. They are all helpful!

I highly recommed the Elementary Apologia series by Jeannie Fulbright. Here is a link to a recent discussion: http://67.202.21.157/forums/showthread.php?t=12132
This program is definitely suitable for K-6 and I'm even using the newly released book, Zoology III, on an informal basis for 7th grade.

What do you do for Physics? I didn't see anything on that.

Currently, the Elementary Apologia series only has the 4 following books: Astronomy, Botany, Zoology I, and Zoology II. Zoology III will be released this May. Two more books are scheduled to follow in 2009: Chemistry/Physics and Anatomy. Hopefully, the last two books will come out in time for my sons to read through them in junior high. If not, we will just study Physics when we get there in high school.
