Anyone else have a private message from a "banned" poster?

I had a private message (I almost didn't even notice it) from someone who is listed as "banned" (certainly not a name I recognized from any of the boards). It wasn't offensive or anything, just a little odd.

Am I missing something?

I think everyone got one that had a link to a website. Spam, I guess.

(shutz, they found me, now what do I do? Just pretend you don't know anything--dazzle them with your computer savvy.. yeah, yeah, that might work...)

Uhhhhhh, I think the pm you got was from someone who actually registered then spammed several of us with some type of work from home scheme or hot stud for hire or something like that.. all I know is I did not get spammed making me feel very left out, but lots of these ladies got it and I don't think that's fair. But yeah--it was from a spammer.

I don't understand at all. How can someone be banned and still be on the boards and posting? I didn't even realize that we had anyone who'd been banned for a long, long time.....

It was posted yesterday. Like I said, nothing offensive, I was just curious (and pleased to see that apparently the admin is pretty sharp, if the person who sent it has already been banned for spamming). Actually, the message had to do with religion, so at first I thought it was someone responding to a long ago post in which I questioned . . . anyway . . . but then I thought it was too generic.

And Toni, I'd "recognize" you anywhere. :p
