I finally switched math programs/Horizons question

We are dropping MUS Alpha. My year has been great except for math. DH finally pointed out that it's the only subject my son doesn't enjoy. It's been hard for me to keep taking 'breaks' in hopes he gains confidence.

We spent the weekend doing placement tests and I learned so much about my son!!! We bought Horizons today for both him and my daughter.

So my question...my daughter is starting the K book. She's almost done with the MUS Primer, but we are just dropping it and starting the Horizons this week. I don't have the teacher guide yet for that one.

Since the beginning is a lot of review do I need the teacher guide for K right away? I am buying it used from someone and may not get it until May....

No, my dd is using Horizons K this year and the first (half?) of the extra worksheet pages, which are located in the teacher's manual, focus on practicing writing numerals. So, don't worry -- you're not missing anything critical.
