I basically only have broccoli, mushrooms, onions and green peppers. Oh, and carrots and celery. I was going to stir-fry this and serve over rice tonight. Is there a sauce or something to cook it in or that I can make to pour over? Or do I just stir-fry it in a little bit of water with some seasonings and call it a day?
Thanks!

Slice your mushrooms, broccoli, onions, green peppers, and carrot into thin batons (I am not so sure about using the celery - save it for a soup perhaps?).
Fry the vegetables very hot in batches.
At the end add in a sauce of chopped/ grated fresh ginger, soy sauce, fresh chilli (optional) and garlic. If you have some add in cashew nuts, peanuts or sesame seeds.

for sauce, I add in some bouillon cubes (you can use veggie or whatever you prefer for flavor). I mix in some garlic, soy sauce, water with corn starch for thickening, some sesame oil. Sometimes a pinch of ginger or whatever strikes my fancy. You could use some orange juice -- a tad -- in it for an orangey asian flavor too.

Janna,
Late to the thread, but try Bragg Liquid Aminos (http://www.bragg.com/products/liquidaminos.html) (at health food stores) for incredible sauce for stir fry. Then throw some unsalted peanuts (from bulk foods section) in there.
My favorite food. Yummy!
