Got the call, speech starts for the youngest at the school today.
She loves going and loves her ST. I'm frustrated with the lack of progress and the regression over the summer. The child needs private therapy but i have no insurance info on her (maybe STBXH will cut and paste this post and i'll get the info???).
I mentioned on the phone she is having issues with T's (she has broad blanket problems, they couldn't give me a list). Mrs H pointed out that if she can make the D sound, everything else is in the same place. I then said, what if she can't HEAR the difference?
So she is going to give her the screening for the APD for discrimination and see how she does. I'm pretty sure she will need full APD testing and such, and can get that, but without her insurance info my hands are tied at the moment. UGH.
The OT told me that she could be obsessed with being upside down because it helps her hearing/ears feel better.
She probably needs to see the ENT for gunk removal (thick wax build up - we've done that before and she was supposed to go back when her insurance got cancelled before), and both the other 2 had had tubes by her age for fluid issues (in fact the oldest had had 3 sets by now!).
Thankfully she is at home and can still learn to read right?
Guess it's time for that lesson.... speech is at a not so great time. 10am. So it's schedule revision time. :tongue_smilie:
