Someone mentioned there was a Yahoo group for Apologia science that was helpful so I signed up....denied membership. Has this happened to anyone? Do I really need this group to do the science?

Do I really need this group to do the science?
Of course it isn't needed. :)
I'm curious though - was this for the elementary or upper level books?

I am using the Elementary Astronomy and the Zoology I. But I just received an email stating that they didn't receive enough info so I can resubmit. Surely it is as easy as that.

They probably have a little box on the membership sign-up where they ask for information about why you join the group, and you probably missed it when you signed up to join. Basically they just want some assurance that you are not going to spam them or create flame wars (by saying Apologia is baloney or something).

Sometimes yahoo doesn't send the membership letters telling you what the moderator wants to approve you. I know for the VP_Elementary list often people don't send in their stuff (basic info to make sure you're not a spammer), presumably because they didn't get the file from yahoo telling them too. Also, with my groups I'm always worried I'll hit the deny button rather than accept, since it's just a little roll away on the mouse! Accidents happen. Just reapply and add comments showing you're not a spammer. I'm sure they'll want you. :)

How much time elapsed? I've been turned down a couple of times because too much time elapsed without the group owner even seeing my request.

I'm the moderator for that group......I could have accidently hit "Deny" vs "Accept". Please try again and be sure to fill in the box with just a tiny bit of info so I will know you aren't a spammer.
Thanks.
