I am going to try out VP for history next year. I have bought most of the things I will need and I love the cards. What a simple way to stay focuses on key topics and keep the momentum going. I have been considering trying out the Bible program as well and with the sale still going on at Beth's, now would be a good time to buy the cards. I would like to just us the cards as a way to move through the Bible together and stay focussed. I don't think that I want the whole program for Bible with teacher' manual etc. How would this work?
Thanks,
Wendy:)

Here we go again, Wendy. I've considered this same plan of action for my younger child. I do think that using the cards only to do a multi-year overview of the Bible is a great idea. I don't care for the workbooks. I just read the Bible and my children narrate and discuss. I haven't felt the need to do projects or comprehension worksheets for Bible. The Bible is set up like the History.
I do add in the Victor's Journey of the Bible. It gives nice background info and would fit the cards nicely.

Thanks again Angelina. I think we will go this route for next year. I really like the R&S program that we are using but it is too time consuming so I find that it gets put off too often.

I use the VP Bible cards by themselves too, without the worksheets and whatnot. I like to have her memorize the chapter locations, which I think are important.

I think this will further pare down our schedule without sacrificing content for next year. I was just able to order 4 out of 5 sets from Beth for a great price. I already have my MARR cards that I ordered for next year laminated and held together by a ring. I think I might even start the VP cards when I get them and pick up where I am currently in Rod and Staff. As I have said before, I actually really like that program but I am finding it to quite time consuming. Thanks again to both of you for all the help you have given me. You both seem to use many of the same things that we do.
