Ugh. I woke up this AM w/out a voice at all. Didn't sleep till 4AM, either, though.

On the upside, ds7 seems to mostly understand my hand gestures. On the downside, he thinks that's all he can use, too. Plus, he can read. I'm writing out his lessons now.;) (He thinks he's getting out of school. Insert evil laugh.)

Dd & dd? #1 wants long explanations of everything. #2 is learning to walk. (Need I say more?)

Drinking tea & hoping to be better (since I AM on antibiotics) by this eve. I've got an appt for a research thing.

If it's a girl, I'm in; count me for a couple of weeks at least. I'm not use to getting up at night anymore, so I can't make a long-term commitment yet...

I hope you feel better soon.

I'll change that diaper for you, I've got plenty. Then your toddler and preschooler can come and play with my toddler and preschooler while Mommy lays on the couch with a cup of tea and gives out school insctuctions :D

Oh Aubrey I understand completely! I haven't had a voice for a week - well I didn't have a voice at all for only one day but for the rest of the week my voice has been really low! My neighbor called the other day and asked for me - when I told her who I was, she wouldn't believe me - she insisted my dh must be playing a joke on her!

LOL--that's what I sounded like *yesterday.*

Ds changed the diaper for me. Now, though, he's pouting about math. Why? I think because I'm not sitting beside him holding his hand.

And, man, this tea is nasty! (Dh's kind.) Think I'll go make another cup.

Thanks, guys.;)

What a cutie!! No night findings, and she sleeps longer than any of my boys do. Hmmm...maybe we can barter. I have an 11-year old boy that will mow your yard for you; it's getting about that time here in Texas you know. He does eat a lot though, so I don't think you'd be saving much even if you get to drop diapers from your grocery bill.

Whew! Thank goodness we don't have a yard, or I might be a little tempted.;)

Nah, I just meant for a day or so while I schlump on the sofa & get well. But your ds sounds GREAT. (Except for the eating part. Seeing the way mine eat now, that just makes me want to cry!;))

My voice is gone, too. No meds here, but I could sure go for some Bailey's Irish Cream over crushed ice... :)

(Guess I'll settle for some Greek review and a shot of Classical Writing. *sigh* :()

This is WAY too late, but have you tried the Bailey's ice cream? It's in one of those teeny little tubs that's ridiculously expensive, but that's probably for the best, as I suspect it's the real stuff.

*takes the baby* offers a fairly helpful 12 year old who is a good reader (comes with moderate amount of attitude) in exchange.
