Ds is entering 7th grade and, after getting A's in ps math, I thought he was ready for pre-algebra. After working with him, I see that he most certainly is not. He doesn't understand fractions, decimals, long division, square roots etc.
Here is what I have. Lial's BCM and DVT's. I think this will work great.
I also wanted to supplement with something like Singapore or MEP. MEP 6 is too difficult, I think. Singapore 6 seems just right. Which would you choose and why?
He LOVES LOF Fractions, but, apparently, he is not ready yet. He definitely needs the basics covered first.
