preparing for the Explore test?

My son is taking the Explore test next year, any suggestions for preparation? He did a Sepctrum test prep book before his standardized testing for 3rd grade and he really enjoyed it (go figure?!?)

If he's done a bubble test before that should be plenty. The only thing I'd do is if he's never used a calculator before (as mine hadn't...) I'd get him one now and let him use it a bit. DS needed a couple little hints... like don't pick up the calculator every time you use it - just leave it on the desk... LOL

I really like the TI-30X IIS (http://education.ti.com/educationportal/sites/US/productDetail/us_ti30x_iis.html) for a beginner's calculator, because it has two lines (so he can see what he's entered with the answer). Also because it's cheap - ours was $10 or so.
