Has anyone used Saxon Algebra 1 on up with the DIVE CDs for an average (possibly a bit struggling) math student? If so, how far were they able to go math-wise? Has anyone have a student actually do the math all the way through Calculus? My daughter wants to try this. She has struggled with math some in the past. She is getting ready to start Algebra 1 in September when we start school.

It is much like Teaching Textbooks...presents the lesson, has solutions of all problems including tests. DIVE just presents the lesson.

My dd wil be using the Saxon Algebra 2 this fall.

Oh...you can get the Saxon Teacher at a discounted price from Raibow Resource and CBD. :)

You will know by lesson 50 or so if Saxon is right for your child or not. Tiny missed concepts will start to snowball if they have not caught on by this point. If your dd starts to struggle at this point then do not hesitate to switch programs--this is one program that can be GREAT for some students and a nightmare for others---it really does come down to learning style with this program.
