Sonlight Read Alouds

I am looking at curriculum for next year and thinking about ordering the Sonlight Read Aloud level 1. My boys are 8 and 6, will be 3rd and 1st next year. Anybody use these and how did your kids like them?

Are you referring to the read-alouds from Core 1? We love them. The ones from Core C are great, too. My eight year old still enjoys those very much and it's the second go-around for him. Reading our SL read-alouds is our favorite part of the day.

We also have really enjoyed Core C and the read-alouds. I purchased Core 1 used about a month ago and it seems that we will thoroughly enjoy them also. Hope that helps!

I think Sonlight read-alouds are great! I love having the books at my finger tips and I haven't read a bad one yet. My girls are always sad to see a book come to an end. We did Core 1 last year and Core 2 currently. Before doing Sonlight, I wasn't consistent on reading aloud. Now I am and I love it. Definitely worth the money to me.

We are doing Abeka this year, our first year homeschooling, and I have gotten so caught up in getting the workbooks done, that we have done virtually no other reading. I have gone to the library the past couple of weeks and have started making time everyday to read aloud. Thanks for the info on the Sonlight read alouds. I am finding so much inspiration from y'all on this board! :)

I haven't done a whole core, but I do take pages from my Sonlight catalog to the library as a reading list....
