Once a week!

I just gotta have clean sheets.

Oh, and I simply wash them and put them back on the beds. It's easy and optimizes the fresh sheet sensation.

I try for every week but it is probably more like every 2. I love crisp clean sheets but I feel like I'm constantly changing another bed. So someone always gets clean sheets every week. It just may not always be me. :o

Ok, I'm embarrassed even admit this, I don't wash them very often. It's the job that I hate the most. Dd's were washed last week because she got sick. I do wash dh's & mine a little more often. We use all flannel in the winter & do wash our cotton sheets in the summer more. If they really stink, I wash them. It's not high on my priority list. We do make our beds everyday though! We get in bed clean. Once when I was a kid I stayed at someones house that had gritty sand bed sheets and dry cat food in the bed sheets. It was gross. If we had company spending the night, they would get clean sheets. Also, as the kids get older and stink more, they will have clean sheets more often.

I change sheets every Friday, alternating between the kids' sheets one week and mine the next. (ala Motivated Moms (http://www.motivatedmoms.com/)).

I dislike this chore, but I like clean sheets. ;) I try to get the kids to help with their sheets as much as possible (they do their own wash) but two of them have loft beds and it's just awful putting sheets on those. Bleh.

Clean sheets all around every week. But I only change mine. The boys have been taught how to change their sheets.
Once a week I put a fresh set at the end of the bed when I wake them, and the know to pull the old sheets off, toss them into the laundry and make the bed with clean linens.
My 9yo still needs a little help getting things tucked properly, but they do a good job.

We do our weekly chores on Saturday which included the changing of the guard, I mean, sheets. But since November it has been monthly or worse. I've been sick and then the kids took turns being sick. Of course I changed sheets for sick kids but we got out of the weekly changing. Funny that I happen to be washing our sheets right now. I really did start them *before* this post--you guys didn't shame me into actually washing them-LOL

like a couple of others 5 whenever. My dh does not like this so, I am trying to see what everybody else does. I guess I'll go with every 2 weeks and then maybe every week. I am kind of lazy when it comes to this.:o My dc change their's every two weeks or so. I do all the wash except for ds's (18).
The do help with folding their own clothes, and puting away. Although, I do have to go and make it nice so they can shut their drawers.:)

Do you have a covered area in which to hang your sheets and towels?

Now that would be convenient! But no, I don't. I just try to get them out there when it's not raining ~ and of course a breeze helps.

Unfortunately, I cannot change the sheets (BAD back) so I have to wait for DH to change ours. That is usually 3-4 weeks. The girls have bunkbeds, so he changes there's at the same time ours gets done. Which means by the time all the sheets are cleaned it's time to do it again. I REALLY hate laundry. REALLY REALLY hate it.

This happens in our house also.:) I have one child who doesn't like the feel of sheets so sleeps between two blankets and my other boys use their sleeping bags. I prefer this because when they do sleep in their beds they kick off the sheets and they end up on the floor anyway.

I am not as ambitious, nor as desirous of clean sheets as most of you.
I change them regularly, but not as frequently.
However, I've NEVER EVER allowed a different person to sleep on a bed slept in by another - guest bed gets changed immediately.

I change my/DH's bed more often than the kids. The kids ... well .... I don't stress over since they shower every night. And they don't seem to be concerned LOL. (Oh, and never any animals in ANY of our beds. Ever. DH says so.)

I love to do that too... but I have to be super careful about when to do it. We live in a farming area, and during certain times of the year, there is *so* much dust in the air from all the plowing! A couple times I hung out the wash and had to re-wash because all the clothes got so dusty. ;-) LOL! I've learned that on days nice enough to hang out the wash, I can only attempt it when I know I'll be home all day to bring it back in if needed. It's also windy here, so even when all the plowing has been done, we get the fine dirt blowing over much of the summer. Not to mention the dust from my own horse paddock once all the pasture has dried up.

Maybe if we get a screen room/solarium someday. Then I could always hang my wash to dry! :D

Gosh, I would love to do that. Hang the clothes to dry, install rain barrels to catch water in the winter, and since it's so sunny here most of the year... solar panels would be awesome. It takes more $$ than we have to get all that going, though. A little bit at a time, i guess.

When I was a kid I'd do this on weekends - night before sheet changing day. I was allowed to tear my bed apart and "camp out". I'd even haul the mattress onto the floor. Ah, fond memories. Must remember to do this with dd... :D
