I'm looking for suggestions for books written during the time period, or books about the time period 1400-1700. I've schedule out most of what we're reading, but I'd like to have more options for my daughter who loves to read. Our history for 1400-1700 covers Western Civilization, but also branches out into China, Africa and India. Thanks!

I would consider the G.A. Henty books in this time period...The Count of Monte Cristo (later in the period)..the original Pilgrims Progress, The Crucible and The Scarlet Letter...

Here's a link to a Catholic resource that lists books by century. I linked to the 15th c. list. Maybe you can get some ideas from it. http://readingyourwaythroughhistory.blogspot.com/search/label/15th%20Century%20AD

is a great intro to the Renaissance and Reformation.

Greenblatt book about Lorenzo D'Medici is also outstanding.

For additional non-fiction books, I'd recommend those by Albert Marrin. Here's a link (http://www.albertmarrin.com/books.html) where you can see his titles. Some are in the time period you're interested in.
