Sounds crazy, but I really do have a better time when the boys are on a schedule. For me, I'd love to have an endless summer ;), but the boys get on my nerves, on one anothers nerves, and on the dog's nerves when they are on a long break.
We started back today, and it's been great. My oldest still has a few days left before heading back to college so he's doing errands for his assisted-living bound grandparents (freeing me up to do school), ds#2 is on his second day of college courses this morning so he's out of the house. This leaves me with just 2 (!) kids at home - WOW! It feels strange - but I LIKE it! I was able to sit with each of them going over their math (it's been too long since they cracked those books!). I haven't even gotten irritated with them...yet!:D
And, what's really great is that they are all in high school (well, the 8th grader isn't really high school age, but he's doing hs work in his core subjects). That means I only need to think on one track which has advantages at my age :tongue_smilie:
Hope all of you are having a great start!
