My 10th grade daughter has begun Traditional Logic 1. There are no tests. I don't test every subject, so I really don't have to test this. But.... I am wondering what the rest of you do.

I correct each daily lesson and average those for the end of the year grade. They do build upon each other, and I assume they have retained it if they are able to move forward.

I joined a site called "classmarker.com" so I can make online quizzes and tests. I am just going to go through the book and make them up myself. I am currently taking the online teachers/parents class and I think I understand enough now to come up with some.

I purchased tests (or maybe they're called quizzes) from Memoria Press several years ago. I don't see them listed on their website, so give them a call to see if they still have them available for sale.

The answer:

Jean,

We have the Quiz and Exam Packet for Traditional Logic I only. They are $17.95. The files for Level II were on Martin Cothran's computer and it crashed a few years ago. The files were lost and we have been working this summer to re-create them. We hope to have them available in the next couple of months.

You are correct; they are not on the website yet. If you would like to order them please give us a call and request them through a representative.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance. Thanks!

Sincerely,
Sarah Lee

Jean,
Are you going to get these? They are almost as expensive as the text....

My first thought was that I'd love the tests. But then I saw the price, and realized we did just fine with my older 2 dc without them. If I had a lot of little poohs to go through high school yet, I would consider it. But this year my last (sniff) child will be going through the program. No, I probably will not.

Sniff, sniff too, I have 2 sophomores, one in 2nd year of college, the other in h.s. The logic is very different for her, I just read WTM this past summer and will implement what I can with just three years left. (Luckily I went a little on my own before WTM and didn't do that bad :) ) She likes it, but would probably freak out to be tested on it. So far, I have her read the section needed for the questions for that day, do that for four days, and on day five, have her reread the entire section after she has finished all of the problems. If I do test, (ugh) I will have to add two days per section because she is a fearful test taker and way over studies....

Thanks!

I'm not planning to do tests for this, and after hearing the price of the tests, and happy with that!
