Ds read King Solomon's Ring while studying Biology. Is there a book your dc enjoyed while studying Chemistry? I remember a past thread which listed science reading, but I can't find it.
Our year may be too full, but it would be nice to try to squeeze something in.;)

We loved reading Exploring the World of Chemistry: From Ancient Metals to High-Speed Computers by John Hudson Tiner this summer.

A couple of suggestions:

The Joy of Chemistry: The Amazing Science of Familiar Things (http://www.amazon.com/Joy-Chemistry-Amazing-Science-Familiar/dp/1591022312) by Cobb and Fetterolf

Uncle Tungsten: Memories of a Chemical Boyhood (http://www.amazon.com/Uncle-Tungsten-Memories-Chemical-Boyhood/dp/0375704043/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1250304791&sr=1-1) by Oliver Sacks

I also found this list on Amazon with some intriguing titles:

Chemistry as Entertainment (http://www.amazon.com/chemistry-as-entertainment/lm/RSKB16ORK76ON/ref=cm_lmt_dtpa_f_3_rdssss0?pf_rd_p=253462201&pf_rd_s=listmania-center&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=1591022312&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1D6S17PP84KKJZYGBKA7)
