We have a lot of story Bibles, but I'm looking for one that might be really good for a 4yo boy. He is really interested in Bible stories right now and I'd like to get him his own Bible for Easter. I prefer non-cartoonish illustrations. Thanks!

My favorite is the Children's Illustrated Bible (http://www.amazon.com/Childrens-Illustrated-Bible-Selina-Hastings/dp/0756602610/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1205160989&sr=8-1)(DK). It has soft, non-cartoonish illustrations and lots of photographs and artwork. I read it to my 5 yo last year and we both loved it.

I second this. We had to actually buy a second one, the first one got so worn out. The kids really learned the stories well from it. You can read it to him now, then when he is reading assign short passages to do on his own.
