Has anyone ever bought a microscope here? http://www.amscope.com/ I saw them mentioned on another thread and decided to take a look. They seem to have a low price point but I'm usually a pretty firm believer in "you get what you pay for". However, I'm still always looking for the deal and wondering if anyone has purchased from them?
Thanks!

They look good, but I can't find mention of their scopes being parfocal or parcentered. I consider this to be an important feature. They may be... they just don't say so.

Good point. I haven't seen anything mentioned about being parfocal or parcentral either. I'll have to look again and see if I can dig anything up, but if not that is a deal breaker for me as well.

I just looked again and did notice that some of the binocular microscopes mention that they have DIN objectives (parfocal and parcentered) but I don't see the same thing mentioned for the monocular. That is not to say they aren't but...... since DIN objectives are mentioned in some models and not others makes me wonder if that means they really aren't in the lower models.

"Three DIN Achromatic Objectives."
This is listed in the monocular student microscope description for the Model M200B-MS. Does that mean it would be parfocal and parcentered? I like the looks of this scope for a bargain :001_smile:

You know what, I thought DIN meant that but now I'm not so sure. I e-mailed them earlier today to ask them about the M220 series and the M600 series and got a reply that these are not parfocal. So, if I were you I'd e-mail them and ask about the specific models you are interested in. They were prompt in responding and now I know these models are not what I'm looking for.
Sorry to confuse you, I hope you find what you are looking for.
