I'm looking for more info on the process.

This site looks great-- i was checking on the Republican section, but the whole site looks fascinating and informative:

does anyone have any other good sites?

When I went to go to the page I got a warning saying there are minor expletives and I'd have to put in my password. Just how mild are these? Just want to know before I say okay. I'm interested, because, like most of the Canadians I've ever discussed this with (which aren't that many), I've never understood the electoral college or the need for it. Especially since it doesn't always jive with the popular vote. Now that I live and vote here, I'm even more curious because I want my vote to truly count.

minor expletives??

i didn't see ANYthing like that at all....
anyone else??

i mean, i think Democrat is a dirty word ::snicker:: but I wouldn't think it needs to be excluded by a program :-)

Thanks Peek - my older boys are really interested in this year's election and this will be really helpful for all of us.

Maybe next time you should just type De**crat? :p

I'm going to go ahead and read it. Not that I'm easily shocked, by any means, but what goes in might be more likely to come out, seeing as I spent some time in high school where stronger-than-milder expletives were part of our common venacular. Much to my current chagrin.

Karin, report back and let me know if you DO see any inappropriate language. I seriously have NOT found ANY since I first found the site. I truly have no idea what would set off flags....???

Nothing so far, but all I did was get to the page and save it as it was late. Apparently the site gave out that warning! But, you know, I'm sure there are some kids who could give words like caucus a real punny twist;)

Interesting. I have my computer set to a high rating, so that could be why. But it will let some pretty nasty things through, so I'm not sure that it's a very good screening system!
