My word! It's been a weekend of it in my house. Eleven year old melt down on Saturday. Discovery same day that dd13 had changed her email password without telling me, which spawned a huge, two day discussion on privacy, transparency, relationships, boys, sex, conflict, longing, loving, growing. Then, dh got super-annoyed with me for my admittedly super-annoying habit of being much too controlling about food consumption, caring about what he eats, whether it's "off limits" food. Running my big, flapping jaw before remembering that this is my control issue rearing its ugly head and how very much my dh has a right to NOT like it.

Lawsy Mercy! Just pardon me while I drown myself in an alcholic substance. Glurb, glurb, glurb.

Those two words are: SPRING FORWARD

That just about screws up everything, I think!

Hope that you have a better week!

I'm sorry! I'd give you rep, but I'm fresh out. I'll drink with you though. I kept intending to get up and get myself something last night for my aching bones, so now's as good a time as any.....

I'm so sorry you're sick. Mine didn't. I didn't. What I mean is, I'm fine now. But having recently been where you are, you have my sympathies. Toasting your improved health.

That we seem to be on the upswing. And, it started before the wine, and before the WHINE. So, that's good. It's just that I'm so mentally exhausted from all the psychological mahem. Boy, won't tomorrow morning be fun. I just looooove daylight savings time.

Still, doesn't it make you wonder what it is about some days when all the you know what hits the fan. I mean, :sheesh:!

You might need to...er...slow up a tad on that something. You're starting to repeat yourself. ;) :D

Hmmmm, how did that happen? I thought this board prevented that? I was also on another screen at the same time printing out IRS forms, could that somehow have caused it? Weird, and I'm not even drinking yet.....

I lied. We had brief improvement yesterday, but it didn't last. Before bedtime last night, dh was in a tizzy about something that I just did not have the energy to discuss before we went to sleep. So, I waited until this morning and tried to bring it up again. Went over like a lead balloon, that one. :sigh: Dh then left for day one of a jury duty assignment, which I'm sure is part of the reason he is so edgy. As a self employed man, every day is vital to him, and to our financial situation. So, jury duty is tricky, at best. But, it is our civic duty, I know.

Now, today, I've had dd11 with her knickers in a twist over missed math problem that generated an hour long discussion among the two girls and I about whether this really was the best option for us anymore. Talk about a time sucker and a mind bender.

We got through English and science before an unexpected visitor showed up. By the time she left, we needed a lunch break. During lunch I decided to wrap up some loose ends with our attempts to secure a new insurance policy - the office closes at 4:30, so waiting until then end of the day is not an option. That call ended up taking almost an hour, while I waited on HOLD for 40 minutes  ....listening to their stupid recorded prattle and starting my own running commentary with things like...."Hi, I'm Doran. I no longer have a question about my physical health. At this point, your obscene waiting period has me more concerned about my MENTAL HEALTH!!!!

Coming here to decompress, to breathe a bit, to ask for virtual shoulders. There are so many more important issues in life, but doggone if we don't seem to be wallowing in some stuff here lately. I know...it's just life...and sometimes life is a bowl of chewed on, slimey, spit covered, pits.

I shall now go put on my happy face and press on.

My dd is a little older than your's and her issues a little deeper and the food battles are just the opposite. I keep high calorie foods in the house because I am trying to keep my weight up which tempts my dh. He is trying to lose and doesn't appreciate it but he does understand. Feel free to email me if you want to dump some more. It's my turn to be there for you and maybe it will distract me from my life. Hope things improve soon. :)
